ATLAS GRAND TOUR - MOROCCO
Our tour of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco has always been popular with those seeking a little adventure from their cycling holidays. This year we have extended the tour to 8 days, from Saturday 14th to Saturday 21st March 2020. Starting from Marrakesh we will take you up into the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at Imlil Village (base camp for much of the High Atlas Trekking and Climbing); and at a remote hotel on the top of Tizi n' Test (one of the most famous passes over the High Atlas). Whilst in the High Atlas you will be living & cycling at altitudes over 2200 meters. You will then descend the other side of the Atlas Mountains to the Souss Plains along the edge of the Sahara Desert. Passing through Taliouine (famous for its saffron - the world's most expensive spice), we will traverse the Souss-Massa with its Mars-like landscape before heading back into the High Atlas Mountains. This time we will use the infamous Tizi n' Tichka pass to bring us back over the mountains to complete our journey back to Marrakesh. Our tour of the Atlas Mountains is all-inclusive and fully supported. You will have two guides cycling along with you and a support van following behind. Our local Berber support crews will keep you supplied with freshly brewed mint tea and a fantastic array of fesh local food throughout the day.
